In February 2022, Wonderfood launched Mixue’s first outlet in Malaysia at Paradigm Mall, Johor Bahru. As part of a strategic market entry plan, Wonderfood carefully selected 19 diverse locations to evaluate the brand’s potential in the Malaysian market. These locations included a variety of settings, such as shopping malls, food courts, wet markets, and both large and small retail formats, including kiosks and shop lots.
This multi-faceted approach allowed us to gain valuable insights into customer preferences and market dynamics across different environments. After several months of rigorous market testing and analysis, Mixue officially commenced its franchise operations, building on the knowledge and experience gained during this trial phase. This methodical strategy underscored our commitment to ensuring a strong foundation for long-term growth and success in Malaysia.
